This creek is located in Wesburn just outside Yarra Junction. It feeds the Britannia Creek Falls and runs through the Britannia Creek Geological reserve and caves. If you drive up Britannia Creek Road there are many places where you park the car and you can walk down to Britannia Creek. Our club members were rewarded with some beautiful views of lush green tree ferns and bubbling water falls. It was a beautiful day where members got to relax socialize and have a lot of fun whilst looking for gemstones in a wilderness type environment. One of our members was lucky enough to find a good sized Topaz as shown in the photo above. Overall the field trip was a very enjoyable and successful event.
